Justin Nielsen is a Luxury Property Specialist with Costa Rica Sotheby’s International Realty, representing local and international buyers, sellers, and investors throughout Escazú, Santa Ana, the Western Central Valley, and the Central Pacific. He specializes in luxury residences, second homes, beachfront properties, and income-producing assets.

Originally from Arizona, Justin has lived full-time in Costa Rica since 2006 and is fully bilingual in English and Spanish. Having successfully relocated and established his life and business in the country, he offers a distinctive combination of local real estate expertise and an international perspective. He understands firsthand the practical considerations involved in moving, investing, building, and purchasing property in Costa Rica.

With nearly two decades of real estate experience, Justin began his career in 2007 with residential and preconstruction sales in San José’s western corridor. Drawing on his construction background in the United States, he began investing his own capital in Costa Rican real estate in 2010. His projects include residential renovations, homes built for resale, vacation rentals, and land investments in San Ramón, Tamarindo, and Santa Teresa.

Before joining Costa Rica Sotheby’s International Realty, Justin’s team ranked among the top three within its previous national brokerage network for two consecutive years. Methodical and highly analytical, he evaluates pricing, construction and improvement costs, rental potential, market positioning, and return on investment. He is also a strategic negotiator and strong closer who keeps transactions organized and moving toward a successful conclusion.
